Glass doors can be inspected immediately after testing, but it is recommended to conduct a final acceptance within 24 to 48 hours to ensure the sealant has fully cured and the door's stability has withstood the initial test.
Immediate Acceptance (After Testing)
A preliminary acceptance can be conducted after testing, focusing on the following:
Smoothness of Opening and Closing: Whether the door opens and closes smoothly without any jamming or abnormal noise.
Accuracy of Closing: Whether the door closer or floor spring automatically returns the door to the correct position.
Hardware Secureness: Whether handles, door clamps, hinges, and other components are loose.
Vertical and Level Accuracy: Re-measure using a level; the deviation should not exceed 1mm.
Delayed Acceptance (After 24–48 Hours)
A final confirmation after one day provides a more accurate reflection of the usage status:
Sealant Curing Status: Neutral silicone sealant requires 24 hours for initial curing and 48 hours for complete stabilization. At this time, check whether the joints are tight and whether there are any shrinkage cracks.
Structural Settlement Observation: Tempered glass has a significant weight, and slight displacement may occur after a short period of use. Delaying acceptance can reveal potential installation problems.
Actual Waterproofing Test: If conditions permit, the seal should be tested in rain or under artificial water spray conditions to avoid misjudgment due to undried adhesive during on-site acceptance.
